HOME SECURITY • BEYOND FIREARMS

Protect What Matters Most

A home safe is for more than firearms. It gives important documents, treasured belongings, and everyday essentials a dedicated layer of protection and gives your household a plan for keeping them secure.

MORE THAN A SAFE. A PLAN FOR WHAT MATTERS. ↓

Browning safe for securing household valuables

Not everything valuable can be replaced.

Think beyond the price tag. Some belongings represent your identity, family history, or the information you would need to recover after an emergency.

Looking through a family photo album

Some things carry a value no receipt can measure.

The documents that prove who you are. The keepsakes that tell your family’s story. The backups that preserve years of memories. Give them a place in your home’s security plan.

01

Important documents

Birth certificates, passports, property records, and copies of insurance documents deserve a secure, organized home. Keep emergency contact details accessible to the people who may need them.

02

Jewelry, cash & heirlooms

Protect a wedding ring, a modest emergency cash reserve, or a family keepsake. A safe adds a physical barrier against theft and helps keep small valuables from being misplaced.

03

Digital backups

An external drive or USB backup may contain family photos and important records. Choose protection suitable for digital media, and keep an additional encrypted backup in a separate location.

04

Medications

A locked storage space can help restrict unauthorized access to certain medications. Follow the label’s temperature and storage requirements; a safe is not a substitute for refrigeration or child-resistant packaging.

05

Firearms & ammunition

Secure firearms against unauthorized access, especially by children and visitors. Store firearms unloaded, secure ammunition separately, and follow applicable laws and safe-storage guidance.

06

Personal & business records

Sensitive financial information, account records, and small-business documents can benefit from controlled access. Store only what you need and keep a secure recovery plan for critical information.

Choose protection that fits your home.

Start with what you want to protect, where the safe will go, and who should have access. Then compare capacity, lock options, burglary-resistance testing, and fire ratings. A fire rating describes specific test conditions, not a guarantee against every fire. Fire-resistant does not necessarily mean water-resistant, and paper-document protection may not be suitable for digital media.

Installation matters, too.

A safe works best as part of a broader home-security plan. Professional placement and anchoring, when appropriate for the safe and structure, can make removal more difficult. Keep combinations and backup keys secure, and review your insurance policy: a safe does not replace coverage.
